LIFE’S JOURNEY

I set out on life’s journey

Set out with spirits high

Across this land of hope and great glory

I set out to do it all my way

 

The road was long

The cross winds strong

Along the trail

They led me wrong

 

Dark clouds gathered

In the distance

Ahead lay stormy skies

Each step, a new challenge

Right before my eyes

Don’t be dismayed

Or your dreams may be betrayed

For tomorrow is a brand new day

Let it come and be what may

Another day

On life’s journey

Then across my path you came

And there you quietly passed along

With love and strength to carry on

And so, we hurried on

Through life’s journey

Without the need of worldly wealth

Or any of that false mammon

We carried on
