CHRISTMAS DAY

 

They are all tucked in

Sleeping peacefully

Sandman has been

Drifting away

Stockings are hung

For in the morning

It will be

Christmas Day

 

Santa’s coming

He’s loading his sleigh

Yes Santa

Is on his way

Let the dawn welcome in

And happiness begin

As their spirits uplift

With one special gift.

 

Little bellies replete

With plum pudding and treats

While under the tree

Among the joy of family

Playing to the merry sound

Of carols and bells all around

Celebrating this day.

Christmas Day

 

There are those

Those who have nothing

Think of all those

Who lost everything

For their little children

There are no presents …

No, nothing to bring.

Only pain and suffering

For them we all pray

On this Christmas Day

That the World join as one

To get a miracle done
